Ness 16x2 control console. We travel with 4 light "tree"s, 4800 watts total (1200 watts per tree) to light things up. Even though it's a *relatively* small amount of lighting, it still takes a lot of juice to run 'em - right at 40 amps total (10 amps per tree). Each tree has 4 par 56 cans, with 300 watt incandescents in each one, with gels for each can and a NESS dimmer pack.
Sound System
Most of the people we play for happen to like their music a bit louder than some would like to hear it - maybe it
drives the message home deeply??!??
Anyhow, we use DTH 218b subwoofers, and 2 Peavey model DTH 4215 full range cabinets. We power the subwoofers
with two Peavey CS-1200 amps, two Peavey CS-800 amps for the full-range cabinets, and we use two Peavey
CS-400 amps for monitoring. These are all mounted in two amp 'stacks' which require 20 amps of power per cabinet. The system is run by a
Peavey SRC-2400 24-channel mixer.
All of which means you can reach just about anybody with the Word!!
Actually, the system will adequately cover (still thump your chest) between 700-1000 people in a pretty good-sized room, and does a decent job outdoors too. If you want us to play in a large area, obviously you will need to obtain a little more firepower - our trailer will only carry so much! Check with your local sound system specialist for your specific needs... See too the section on Power Requirements.
