Remembering Those Who Have Gone Before...
"Chris Austin was found dead in his car Saturday February 7, 1998. He was 27 at the time of his death. Survived by parents Don and Ann, sisters Amy Andreas and Yvette Jennings. He was a member of the U. S. Naval reserve, and was active in his church."
These remembrances will never suffice to show the sorrow we feel at his passing, and yet we know that he is in that place of ultimate comforting called Heaven, because he knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We recall as a band the times he was with us in the studio (for the "Sooner Than You Think" project, and a very early EP), traveling on the road together, learning together exactly how to share our faith in God effectively with the unsaved.
Chris, we miss your sense of humor, and your unwavering sense of justice and 'rightness'. We miss jamming together, and your skills on your guitar. We miss your friendship and compassion. May the Austins feel the fullness of God's love and peace as they grieve over the loss of a son and a brother. We will always miss you, Chris...
